YT Link With TV Code (“the extension”)
Last updated: August 17, 2026
The extension lets you link a phone to Chrome with a YouTube TV pairing code and remote-control a YouTube tab (play, pause, seek, volume, queue).
Settings are saved only in Chrome’s local extension storage on your device:
This data stays on your computer. We do not operate a backend server that receives it.
To create a TV code and receive remote commands, the extension talks only to
YouTube Lounge APIs on youtube.com / www.youtube.com.
Playback is controlled in your YouTube tab. We do not send this traffic to
any other company.
YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to data Google processes: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Storage, tabs, offscreen, alarms, notifications, scripting, and YouTube host access are used only to keep the pairing session alive and to control the YouTube player. They are not used to track you on other websites.
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
The extension is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Continued use of the extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
